Lazy days ...
The winter doldrums have struck! I never have cared for the cheery holiday season, and am now getting into that depression pit for the next couple of weeks. Bah! Haven't painted or drawn in over a week. However I just got in a bunch of blank watercolor cards I had forgotten were ordered. I'm planning on creating my own Christmas cards this year ... only need ten, so its not a huge burden. Finished the first one in just a few minutes. Maybe this little project will get me into the spirit of things ...

Now that is an awesome idea - painting your own Christmas cards!
ReplyDeleteI made them one year using Snoopy stamps and had a lot of fun, though it was still a lot of work.
Quit being a Scrooge or I'll show up at your door blaring Bing Crosby! ;-)
Thanks. Its coming along. To streamline the process, I've limited myself to 10 minutes on each card. Every one is a different design, straight from the imagination. Some watercolor, some pen & ink, some colored pencils. Now have to send out 15 rather than 10.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter would probably enjoy doing something similar. I ordered mine online with some art supplies, but the card and envelope sets can be found at most arts & crafts stores. I think I paid $6 for the box of 20.
