Giverny ...

I was studying Monet's paintings from Giverny recently and thought it might be interesting to mimic one. This was certainly not easy. I have copied Van Gogh, Gauguin, Latrec, Modigliani, etc ... but there was something about Monet's compositions and colors that really frustrated me. After 2 days of working on this, I finally gave in. I'm not happy with it at all, but know that I've hit a dead end with it. It would be futile to continue.
