I see that the next show (in 7 days!) is non-juried again. I just can't afford $90 in mats and frames to put a couple of pieces in a show that will most likely see no rewards. There is no prize money, and the chance of buyers actually spending money right now is almost nil. I think I'll enter one or two works that are a bit older and more easily framed. I'm not going to stree out about it.
The show after this (in June) is a big juried show. Lots of prize money and ribbons. It'll draw a bigger crowd with (hopefully) more change in the pockets. I'd like to think I would get first place money for all three paintings, as well as sell them all ... its a nice dream where I can pay a few months mortgage or pay off the credit card ... its a nice dream indeed.
