Storage ...

I've got to figure out a better storage situation.  This is getting out of control.  I've been tripping over supplies and finished pieces.  Granted, I have a tiny tiny house.  Hell, my easel even sits in the middle of my living room most of the time.  But its my bedroom that's become the Land of Forgotten Art.  An old coffee table sits along the wall with stacks of watercolors and pastels.  Canvasses take up most of the space in my closet ... I have to move them to even reach some of my shirts.  Frames and watercolor blocks and backer boards, et al ... they all rest against walls, the bed, behind doors.  Something must be done.

I either need to sell a lot of finished pieces, have to discard rejected work (I already do this to some extent), or frame even more and hang them on the walls.  Its almost like an extra layer of insulation!  Perhaps a stacking storage drawer unit, but those are expensive.  I'll start checking Craigslist and local auctions for old printing shop storage.

  1. I vote for lots of sales!!!

If it makes you feel any better, I have a dedicated office and I STILL have clutter related to my writing everywhere in my house. Bedroom, kitchen, living room...
