Just found this again ... still hate it ...

18x24 pastel on rough rag. This is an old one. I didn't care for it then, and I most certainly don't care for it now. The colors in the hills overpower the browns in the buckskin too much. Hell, its not even finished. No detail whatsoever in the feathers. Bah!  It somehow won an honorable mention for portraiture in a state art show 15 or 16 years ago. The judges were stupid and/or blind, as most judges are.
