Ghost Mare ...

After a difficult and emotional weekend that nearly made me quit painting again, I forced myself to sit at the easel and work.  This, of course, after a night of heavy heavy drinking and self hatred.  I pulled out a reference photo at random and started painting.  Its not great but its certainly passable.  I think I'll continue to work .... for now.  While painting this piece, I was bombarded with ideas of both subject matter and medium.
