I was deliberating whether or not I would try Google+. I mean, I'm already on Twitter and Facebook, this blog and my portfolios ... why would I spread myself any thinner? However my peers in the art community rave about it, saying its perfect for artists of all media. So I dipped my toe in yesterday. It was found to be easily integrated with everything else I'm doing, but a bit clunky and time consuming.
"Nah ... I might tinker with it, but its nothing I'm going to focus on." That was yesterday. Then this morning good ol' Facebook decides they're going to try and beat Google+ by mimicing them (poorly). I couldn't take it anymore. They change their newsfeed format every year. Done. Google+ it is. At least that's straight forward and not telling me who and what I should read. I'll keep my pages (personal and professional) on FB of course. But unless they give me an "opt out" of the latest newsfeed incarnation, I can no longer spend much time there.
You can look me up on Google by searching for R.M. Smith ... I haven't figured out how to link directly there yet.
