Several years ago, I became fascinated with doing large acrylics of close-up images of animals. The patterns and colors were fun to work with for a short while. Many were purchased outright (quite a few of cow spots, for some damn reason), others made it into a dumpster, and a handful remain stagnant in my closet. This image is of an owl's eyes and was used as a promotional piece for the Oregon Zoo. For those couple of months, it was displayed on the backs of park benches. Acrylic, 18"x48".
